Rajiv Mathur (Shahid Kapoor) is mocked by his friends for not having a girlfriend. When they plan a couples-only trip to Alibagh, Rajiv proposes to Payal (Amrita Rao), his childhood friend, just so he can join the trip too. Payal, meanwhile believes Rajiv genuinely loves her, and accepts his proposal. She is distraught and hurt when she learns the truth. Heartbroken, she breaks up with him. Rajiv then meets a free-spirited model, Alisha Sahay (Shenaz Treasury), and falls in love with her. But soon he realizes love doesn’t come so easily and sometimes, to find ‘the one’, you have to let them go, first.
