Grahasthi is a family drama, a story of sacrifice and devotion. Shankar Babu and Karim Khan are good friends. Both Shankar and Karim believe that a family is built on the pillars of love and devotion. After Shankar is sent to jail for embezzlement of funds at his office, the responsibility of running the household falls on Shankar's elder daughter Sudha's shoulders.
