Royal astrologer Narsin's only son Gopal has a mesmerizing voice and aspires to become a royal musician. His father is unhappy with Gopal's dream and wants his son to become a famous astrologer, but Gopal remains engrossed in his singing. Later when Gopal participates in a music competition, his rivals poison his drink, causing Gopal to lose his voice completely. Helpless and destitute Gopal then meets Gopi, a dancer who eventually becomes his best friend and helps him regain his voice and come back stronger.
