Rajib, a cultured upper middle-class man, enjoyed music and singing. His mother and best friend worried about his family life. Rajib met Lakshmi during a performance, but they broke up. He returned to Kolkata, married a girl, and tried to meet Lakshmi again, but she was under troubled circumstances and had to sacrifice.
