Pappu Tiwari and his dysfunctional family survive by selling their ancestral properties at a good price. When he is down to his last piece of land, he dreams of his late mother and is soon led to believe that a hidden treasure lies in the property. Overjoyed, Pappu turns down offers to sell it. Meanwhile, Pappu's daughter Goldie works as an anchor at a local news channel and gets the shock of her life when her superstitious parents promise her hand in marriage to a politician’s son without her consent, beliving that would enhance their chances of finding the treasure. But the treasure evades them and Goldie decides to revolt against her parents' decision.
